Advice to Younger Me

This is me trying to summarize my 25 years of learnings, most of which I learnt the hard way.

Things I wish I knew sooner

  1. Set goals that scare you.
  2. Seek progress, not perfction.
  3. Consistency is the key.
  4. Know what you don’t know.
  5. Don’t reinvent the wheel.
  6. Learn by doing.
  7. Ideas are dime a dozen. Execution is everything.
  8. You are who you choose to be.
  9. Do what is right, not what is easy.
  10. Become an A+ generalist.
  11. Live in Permanent Beta.
  12. Create More, Consume Less
  13. Make mistakes
  14. Show empathy
  15. Be ethical
  16. Give more than you get
  17. Learn from pros
  18. Never give up! You might be too close to success.
  19. You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.
